Posted by blackpoolcommunitynews on September 16, 2008

The Governments £130 million Grassroots Grants Scheme funded by the Office of the Third Sector and managed by the Community Development Foundation, has been declared “open for business”.

The scheme will run until 2011 and offer small grants of between £250 and £5,000. Grants will be funded locally by the Community Foundation for Merseyside who will work with the local CVS to help deliver the programme.

“Whether it’s helping local clubs get hold of new kit, coaching new volunteers or simply giving the village hall a fresh lick of paint, Grassroots Grants aim to make a real and immediate difference to the work of any small and local community groups with annual incomes below £20,000.”
