Congratulations to Red Marsh School and its GO! project for successfully drumming up public support to win last night’s People’s Millions competition – and £49,500.
The Go! project will create a garden and play area between Red Marsh and neighbouring Great Arley School in Thornton-Cleveleys. The new area will feature allotments and places to recycle and relax, as well as a sensory garden. Over 3,000 local people are expected to use the new facilities.
GO! depended on people ringing in their support from 9am to midnight yesterday – and this resulted in the awards being announced today. Parents, teachers, children at the school deserve praise for inspiring people to vote. Supporters even encouraged friends on social networking website Facebook to cast their vote.
